Patty E Taulbee

Mrs. Patty Ellen Hurt Taulbee age 71 passed away peacefully at her home on August 15, 2019 surrounded by her family. 

Patty was born on June 3, 1948, in Burkesville, KY, to the late Otis E and Haley Farlee Hurt. She was a member of the Scaffold Cane Baptist Church. She worked at numerous jobs, but has been retired from Rockcastle Manufacturing since 2005.  She enjoyed spending time with her friends, family, and church family. She also enjoyed reading her Bible, feeding her birds, working in her flowers, sewing, and playing with her Shih-Tzu dog, Cooper.

She was the greatest Mother and Mammy a family could have ever had, she will be dearly missed. 

Those left to celebrate her life are her husband:  James C. Taulbee; two children Stacie (Randall) Thacker, and Joe (Rebekah) Ferguson; six grandchildren:  Rodney and Dixie Thacker, Ben and Jonah Ferguson, and Jared and Bekah Taulbee; two great-grandchildren:  Leah and Tanner Taulbee; as well as several nieces and nephews, and a special sister-in-law Bonnie Hurt.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James L Ferguson; five brothers:  Edward L Hurt, Shalton E Hurt, Howard E (Big Joe) Hurt, Richard D Hurt, and Donald K Hurt. 

Services for Mrs. Patty Taulbee will be held at the Marvin E Owens Home for Funerals in Brodhead, KY.  Visitation will be Monday, August 19, 2019 from 11am-1pm followed by the funeral service at 1pm with Bro. Chris Cobb officiating.  Burial will follow in the Scaffold Cane Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be:  Rodney Thacker, Ben Ferguson, Jared Taulbee, Stephen Hurt, Dustin Jones, Shannon Doyle, and honorary pallbearer:  Jonah Ferguson.
