Perry Lee Montjoy

Mr. Perry Lee Montjoy, age 72,of Mt. Vernon, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2019 at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, KY.

He was born April 2, 1947 in Paris, KY to the late Delia Merle Stewart Reams.  He was an auto mechanic most of his life.  Perry was a member of the Flat Rock Baptist Church and found great joy in attending church, he loved talking to people about the Lord, and watching his great-grandbabies play.  He never met a stranger and everybody loved him. 

Those left to celebrate his life are:  his wife Linda Montjoy of Mt. Vernon, KY; his children, Rhonda (Rodney) Yaden, and Vickie (David) Burdette of Mt. Vernon, KY; his grandchildren:  Joshua (Gabby) McFerron, Shane (Kaitlin) Bullock, and Jessie (Christa) Renner; his great-grandchildren:  Maleigha, McKinzie, Zakkariah, Penelope, Lincoln, Avery, and Addy; his brothers:  Roger Reams of Mt. Vernon, KY, and Kenny Reams of Orlando, KY, his sisters:  Phyllis McGuire of Orlando, KY; Darla Reams Moore of Orlando, KY, and Glenna (Larry) Settles of Brodhead, KY, as well as a host of family, friends, and neighbors. 

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers:  his twin brother, Jerry Montjoy, Anthony Reams, and infant Bobby Reams, sister infant Linda Montjoy, and step father Elmo Reams.    

Services for Mr. Perry Lee Montjoy will be held at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals in Brodhead, KY.  Visitation will be held Thursday, July 4, 2019 from 6-9pm and funeral services will be held Friday, July 5, 2019 at 1pm with Bro. Randy McPheron officiating.  Burial will follow at Montjoy family cemetery in Mt. Vernon.
