Mr. Randall Lewis Himes, age 61 of Mt. Vernon, passed away Friday, October 25, 2019 at the Rockcastle Regional Hospital.
He was born on October 6, 1958 in Mt. Vernon, Ky., a son of the late Robert Lewis Himes and Anna Mae Rimell Wynn. He was of the Pentecostal faith and found great joy in UK Basketball, cheering for Rockcastle Basketball, fishing and sitting around the fire pit with his family and friends. He loved spending time spoiling his grandchildren, also enjoyed “junking” and tinkering with anything to be fixed. Randall had been employed as a sales clerk at a Carpenter’s Decorating Center. On May 25, 2001 he was united in marriage to Sandi Clark Himes and they enjoyed eighteen years together.
Those left to celebrate his life are his wife: Sandi Clark Himes; his mother: Anna Mae Wynn; three daughters: Wendy (David) King of Mt. Vernon, Ky, Chrissy (Andrew) Cash of Ottawa, Ky, Kenzi Himes of Mt. Vernon, KY; two sons: Brandon (Jessica) Himes of Mt. Vernon, Ky; Danny Clark of Mt. Vernon, Ky; grandchildren: Carson King, Addy King, Camryn Cash, Parker Cash, Trinity Durham and Jake Durham. His sister: Carolyn Sue (Gordon) Mink of Conway, Ky; as well as a host of nieces/nephews, cousins, aunts/uncles, friends and neighbors.
Besides his father he was preceded in death by a brother, Jack D. Himes.
Visitation for Mr. Randall Lewis Himes will be Monday, October 28th, 2019 from 6-9PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.
Funerals services will be conducted Tuesday, October 29th, 2019 at 1PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Bro. Buford Parkerson officiating.
