Robert Howard Obituary

Mr. Robert Lee Howard, age 85, of Brodhead, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2019 at Rockcastle Regional Hospital.

Robert was born on August 4, 1934, in Mt. Vernon, KY, to the late Newman Howard and Alma (Bullock) Frye. He served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean War and was a retired truck driver. Robert was a Mason and a Shriner, enjoyed his grandchildren, woodworking, reading, and his dog, Red.

Those left to celebrate his life are his three children: Robert Lee (Tamey) Howard II of Brodhead, KY, Elisabeth (Greg) Pierson of Chicago, IL, and Kelly Susan Howard of Veneta, OR; two grandchildren: Erika Dane Howard, and Tasha Lynn Howard; special friends: ladies of Attender Care, Cindy Laverack, Brittany Pittman, Dana Wyatt, and Kathy Stone, Johnny and Louise Peters, Mr. Willie Scott, Jeanine Larson, as well as nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lee (Combs) Howard, and one sister Jean Johnson.

Mr. Howard’s request for cremation was honored, and the family will have a memorial service at a later date.
