Sonny Napier

Mr. Sonny Napier, age 84,  of Crab Orchard, beloved husband of Mary Napier, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2020, at his home.

Sonny was born on April 10, 1935, in Brodhead, KY to the late Alex and Essie Mae (Crank) Napier.  He married Mary Brown on January 14, 1956, and from that union came three children:  Mark, Valoria, and Alex.  He was a machinist, and a member of the Baptist faith who enjoyed his family, hunting, fishing, woodworking, building, farming, and designing. 

Those left to celebrate his life are his wife of 64 years, Mary Napier; his children:  Mark (MaryJo) Napier of Tomball, TX, Valoria (Dave) Weddle of Fairfield, OH, and Alex (Kim) Napier of Fairfield, OH, his grandchildren:  Ryan (Angela), Amy (Aaron), Justin, Sara (Lige), Marybeth (Aaron), and Emily (John); and great-grandchildren:  Braydon, Noah, Carson, Madilynn, Allie, Colton, Grayson, Parker, Keaden, Iris; his siblings:  Paul (Helen) Napier of Brodhead, KY, Eva Combs of OH, Amanda Bray Raleigh, NC, Jean Renshaw of Houston, TX, and Charlie (Carolyn) Napier of Crab Orchard, KY; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings:  Doug Napier, Goldie Murphy, Betty Mize, Bill Napier, and Clenie Napier.

Visitation for Mr. Sonny Napier will be Sunday, January 5, 2020 from 11 am until time for the funeral at 1 pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Bros. Melvin Sisson and Dan Gutenson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Ottawa Cemetery.  Casket bearers will be:  Wayne, Brandon, and Bradley Brown, Justin Weddle, Ryan Napier, and Brad Hunt.
