Mr. Tommie Lee Falin, age 82, of Mt. Vernon, KY, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2019, at Baptist Health Hospital in Richmond, KY.
Tommie was born on April 9, 1937, a son of the late Orbin Falin, and the late Pearl Chestnut Falin, in Orlando, KY. Tommie was of the Baptist faith, and he enjoyed vintage cars and knives.
Those left to celebrate his life are a grandson Eric Shafer; a great-grandson Lucas Shafer; and four sisters: Evelyn Falin Miller and Casper of Cove Branch, KY, Linda Falin Stewart and Carl of Pine Hill, KY, Inas Falin Leger and Charles of Copper Creek, KY, and Martina Falin Leger and Benny of Brodhead, KY; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, good friends, and good neighbors.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Alwanda Watson Falin; a daughter: Deborah Falin Hopper; a grandson: Ellis Jason Thomas; and siblings: Dallas Falin, Ellis Falin, Irene Falin Stewart, Alma Jean Falin Smith, infant brother and infant sister.
Services will be held at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals on Sunday, April 28, 2019, beginning with the visitation from 11-2pm, followed by the funeral at 2pm, with Bro. Tommy Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery. Casket bearers were Tommie’s nephews and grandson. Tommie was escorted to final resting place by vintage vehicles.
