Vickie Sue (Renner) Barnes

Mrs. Vickie Sue Renner Barnes, age 67 of Mt. Vernon, passed away Friday, July 26, 2019 at Baptist Hospital in Lexington, after a brief illness.

Vickie was born on December 15, 1951 in Berea, Ky; a daughter of the late Arlie Lee Renner, Sr. and the late Dorothy Mae Morris Renner.  On July 19, 1969, she was united in marriage to Joe Edd Barnes and they enjoyed 50 years together. Vickie was a faithful member of Maretburg Baptist Church, a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  She found great joy in cooking, watching QVC, embroidery, gardening and her grandchildren.

Those left to celebrate her life are her husband of 50 years, Joe Edd Barnes of Mt. Vernon, Ky; Two daughters: Kimberly Jo (Dewayne) Richards of Berea, Ky; and Dana Lynne Payne of Brodhead, Ky. Four grandchildren: Tyler Barnes Mobley, Thea Grace Richards, Gunnar Joseph Richards and Corbynne Brook Ingram. One great grandchild: Bentley Ross Mobley; One brother: Arlie Lee (Patty) Renner, Jr. of Mt. Vernon, Ky; Two sisters: Judy Ann Baker of Harrodsburg, Ky; and Sheila Joyce (Garry) Hurst of Brodhead, Ky. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
