Mr. Walter Coy Baldwin, age 88, of Brodhead, passed away Sunday, June 2, 2019 at the Brodhead Health & Rehabilitation Facility.
He was born on September 17, 1930 in Parrott, KY., a son of the late Coy and Martha Ella Fields Baldwin. Walter proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy, serving during the Korean War. He was a member of the Brodhead Christian Church serving as Deacon, an Elder, and a Sunday School Teacher; as well as Manager of the Kentucky Christian Assembly Church Camp. He found great enjoyment in woodworking, small engine repair, appliance and home repair, as well as his involvement with the church camp.
Those left to celebrate his life are his children: Tommy (Lynn) Baldwin of Florence, KY, and Melanie (Marvin) Daulton of Somerset, KY; his grandchildren: Madison and Macy Daulton, Kimberly Beal, Bennett (Haley), and Jacob Baldwin; great-grandchildren: Tyler, Jade, and Allyssa Beal; his brother: Estill (Brenda) Baldwin of Brodhead, KY; as well as a host of friends and neighbors.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers: Wayne, John, Marion and Paul Baldwin.
Services for Mr. Baldwin will be held at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals, beginning with the visitation on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 from 6-9pm, funeral will follow on Thursday, June 6, 2019, at 11am with Bro. Tracy Valentine and Roger Carr officiating. Upon the family’s request and honoring Walters cremation desires, burial will be at a later date, in Piney Grove Cemetery.
Memorials in Walters name, may be made to the Kentucky Christian Assembly.
