Albert "Brownie" Martin

Albert (Brownie) Martin, age 85, of Brodhead, KY passed away on September 19th, 2024, at Compassionate Care in Richmond, Ky. He was born on March 5th, 1939, in Brodhead, Ky. A son to the late Albert G. and Ella Mae (Brown) Martin.

On June 27th, 1959, he married Carol (Thompson) Martin. He was of the Christian faith. He was a mechanic from the age of 12 and enjoyed working to take care of his family. Brownie was also a member of Western Rockcastle Water Board for over 20 years.

He is survived by his wife: Carol (Thompson) Martin, His children; Jill Martin of Brodhead, Micki Jo (Ronnie) Woodson of Lexington, Gina Martin of Brodhead, Richard (Merita) Martin of Mt Vernon, Jon (Monica) Martin of Brodhead. Grandchildren; Josh (Michelle) Martin, Travis Martin (Lisa), Jasmine Martin, James Allen (Sandra), Matthew Woodson (Cecily), Zack Woodson, Davis Faulkner, Jillisa Noland (Daniel), Drew Martin, Allie Martin, Kylie Martin. Eleven Great grandchildren. Brother: Danny (Juanita) Martin of Mt Vernon. Nephews; Daniel Martin of Brodhead, Chris Adams (Tonya) of OH, Grant Adams of OH.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one child: Timothy B. Martin. One sister: Jenny (Benita) Helton.

Visitation for Brownie will be Sunday, September 22nd, at Marvin Owens Chapel from 1-3pm, followed by funeral service at 3pm with Bro. Curt Herrington officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
