Mr. Amos Burdette, age 94 husband of Pearl of Mt. Vernon passed away January 16th, 2025, at Rockcastle Regional Hospital.
Amos was born April 27th, 1930, in Mount Vernon, KY to the late James and Rebecca York Burdette. Amos married Lois Jane “Pearl” Livesay Burdette and from that marriage came four children: Vicki, Michael, James and Chris Burdette all of Mt. Vernon.
Amos was a member of North Side Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting, spending time with friends at Wendy’s as well as spending time with his family.
Those left to celebrate his life, his wife Pearl, his children; Vicki Burdette, Michael Burdette (Pamela), James Burdette (Pam), and Chris Burdette all of Mt. Vernon. Thirteen grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Besides his parents he is preceded in death by brothers and sisters Marjorie Cummins, Ada Coffey, Wanda Burton, L.C., Arvel, Owen, Walter, Thomas, and Ulysses Burdette.
Services for Mr. Burdette will be Sunday January 19, 2025, with visitation starting at 12 PM till time of the funeral at 2 PM. Brother Denzel Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.
