Arlos Everett Proctor

Mr. Arlos Everett Proctor, age 92 of Brodhead, Ky, passed away Friday, May 27, 2022, at his home.

Arlos was born on December 11, 1929, at Ottawa, Ky to the late Wallace and Novara (Hasty) Proctor. Arlos served in the Navy for four years as a boiler operator aboard  the USS Collett 750. He enjoyed raising goats, wood crafts, UK basketball and the Cincinnati Reds. He was a member of the Bethel Church of Christ and the Mt. Vernon V.F.W.

Those left to celebrate his life are his wife Martha Price Proctor; five children Roger (Shari) Proctor of Brodhead, Ky; Barry (Markita) Proctor of Brodhead, Ky; Sharon (Dallas) Hargis of Lexington, Ky; Buck (Lori) McKinney of Coatesville, IN; and Sandy Simmons of Lexington, Ky.  Twelve grandchildren; Hillary (Matthew) Whitaker; Kendra (Jake) Stenzel; Stephanie Owens;Brandon (Constance) Proctor, C.W. , Nanci, Martha, and Joplin Simmons; Christopher, Sara, Hayden, and Vianna McKinney.  Eleven great grandchildren;  Reni, Dani, and Max Owens; Avery and Noah Proctor; Michael Staggs; Jackson and Madelyn Whitaker; Cameron and Landon McKinney, and Aryana Simmons.

Besides his parents, he was preceded  in death by a brother Bobby Proctor and a sister-in-law Clara Proctor.

Visitation for Arlos will be held on Tuesday May 31, 2022, at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals, from 6-9 pm. Funeral will be Wednesday June 1, 2022 at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals at 1pm with Bro. Johnie Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Church of Christ Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass in honor of Arlos Proctor.
