Arthur Ray Cromer, age 74, of Brodhead, Ky, passed away on Thursday, January 29th, 2026, at Ephraim McDowell Hospital in Danville, Ky. He was born on April 5th, 1951, in Mt Vernon, Ky. A son to the late Earl and Bessie Payne Cromer.
Arthur attended Skaggs Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed working on anything, old trucks, running a dozer, he loved his animals, and spending time with friends, family, and neighbors.
He is survived by his stepchildren; Tracy Barron of Brodhead, James ‘Buck” Fletcher, Edna Friermuth (Dave) of Brodhead, step grandchildren; Brittny Stacy (James), Jessica Barron as well as several others. His brothers; Garry Wayne Cromer of Mt Vernon, Tony Cromer of Mt Vernon, his sisters; Willena Caldwell (Gary) of Parksville, Lela Burns (Tim) of Florida, nieces and nephews; Timmy Burns, Susan Caldwell, Latisha Feazell, Tiffany Mesa, Jennifer Simpson, Joshua Cromer, Matthew Cromer, and several great nieces and nephews, ex-wife Jean Cromer and a special friend Judy Rowe.
Besides his parents Arthur was preceded by his brothers, Denver Earl Cromer, Karl David Cromer. Three stepchildren.
Visitation for Arthur will be Friday, February 6th, 2026, at Marvin Owens Chapel from 11am-1pm. Funeral service will follow at 1pm with Bro. Zandell Hasty officiating. Burial will follow in High Dry Cemetery (Cromer Family section).
Casket bearers are David Thompson, Doug Hayes, Ricky Bullock, Brandon Nicely, Dennis and Randy McClure.
