Barbara DeBorde

Mrs. Barbara Grace DeBorde age 84 of Mt. Vernon, gained her heavenly wings Monday, Dec. 11, 2023, at her home in Mt. Vernon, Ky.

She was born on March. 17, 1939 in Mt. Vernon, Ky., a daughter of the late Vernon Houk and Lucille Willmott Houk. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church.   She enjoyed Sewing and Quilting and spending time with family and friends.

Those left to celebrate her life are her children: Steven Garlan DeBorde of Mt. Vernon; Guy Morton DeBorde and Yolanda of Louisville, KY; and Vanna Grace DeBorde Jankowski of Grayslake, IL. Her grandchildren: Kayla Nicole Deborde, Gabrielle Rondina DeBorde, Samantha Nevaeh DeBorde, AngelaDeBorde, Kyle James Jankowski, and Ethan Mitchell Jankowski. Her brother: Vernon Bruce Houk of Mt. Vernon. Her sister: Kathryn Lucille Bunch. As well as a host of nieces/nephews, friends, and neighbors.

Besides her husband, Garlan DeBorde, she was preceded in death by one son Michael Stanton DeBorde and brother: Billy Warren Houk.
