Billy Ray Nelson Obituary

Billy Ray Nelson, beloved husband of Lisa Parks, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and friendship that touched countless lives on June 6, 2026, in Tavares Florida. Billy was born on May 23, 1961, to the late Donald Ray and Ruby Nelson in Lexington, Kentucky.

A proud veteran of the United States Army, Billy served his country with honor and carried that same sense of duty and integrity throughout his life. He was an avid Harley-Davidson enthusiast and collector whose passion for motorcycles was matched only by his love for the people around him. Whether on the open road or gathered with friends and family, Billy found joy in sharing stories, laughter, and creating lasting memories.

Known for his huge heart and welcoming spirit, Billy never met a stranger. He was the kind of man who would offer a helping hand without hesitation and make everyone feel valued and appreciated. His kindness, compassion, and genuine concern for others earned him the respect and affection of all who knew him.

Billy’s life was defined not by the possessions he collected, but by the lives he touched. His unwavering friendship, warm smile, and generous nature will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Though he has departed this world, the love he shared and the memories he created will continue to live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know him.

May he ride free on the open roads of heaven and rest in eternal peace.

Billy will be lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Lisa Parks;  two sons, Tyler (Livie) Nelson of Alexandria, Kentucky, Brad (Kaliesa) Hunt of Mt. Vernon, Kentucky; three daughters, Dana Ray Nelson of Paris, Kentucky, Virginia (Austin) Osburn of Hampton, Virginia, Leslie (Whitney) Owens of Monticello, Kentucky; and twelve grandchildren.

Besides his parents, Billy was proceeded in his passing by his brother, Ricky Nelson.
