Bob Bradley

Mr. Wayne “Bob” Bradley, age 72 of Somerset, Ky. passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at his residence, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born on October 25, 1947 in Sand Springs, Ky., a son of the late James Russell Bradley and Ruby Juanita Renner Bradley.  Bob had been the pastor at Elrod Church of God, was honored to be used by the Lord to preach his word for many years.  Bob was well known as the co-owner of Bradley Barber Shop in Mt. Vernon, happily performing his barber duties for 53 years.  He served his country in the US Armed Forces. He was a member of the Rockcastle Co. Coon Club.  Bob loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren with all his heart.   On November 9, 1969 he was united in marriage to Lela Claydean Lunn, and from that union came three children: Connie, Melissa and Stephanie.  

Those left to celebrate his life are: his wife of 50 years, Lela Claydean Bradley.  His three daughters: Connie Lynn Mason (Jimmy) of Mt. Vernon,Ky., Melissa Ann Evans ( Robert Hensley) of Brodhead, Ky; and Stephanie Jean Denny (David ) of Crab Orchard, Ky. His grandchildren: Christopher and Candace Evans; Hannah, Alisha and Bridgette Denny; and Brittany Lakes. His four great grandchildren: Braelynn Williams, Jadynn Asher, and Gunnar and Makinley Lakes.  His brothers: Jack Bradley (Paulette) of Mt. Vernon, Ky., Floyd Bradley (Carolyn) of Brodhead, Ky. and Boyd Bradley (Sandy) of Mt. Vernon, Ky. His sisters: Lois Hayes (Doug) of Crab Orchard, Ky; Joyce McCracken (Randy) of Mt. Vernon, Ky., Gail Wilson (Brian) of Russell Springs, Ky; and Sharon Boone of Mt. Vernon, Ky.  As well as a host of nieces/nephews, friends and neighbors.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters: Lucille Hasty, Eulada Bradley and infant twins.

Visitation for Mr. Bob Bradley will be Friday, November 29, 2019 from 6-9PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals. 

Funerals services will be conducted Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 2PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Bro. Larry Bradley officiating.  Burial will follow in the Sowder Cemetery.
