Bobby Lawrence

OBITUARY NOTICE:

Mr. Bobby Nevil Lawrence, age 87 of Brodhead, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 20, 2025 at his home with his loving family by his side.  Bobby was born on April 21, 1938, the son of the late Herbert and Mae Brummet Lawrence. He was a faithful membr of the Fairview Church of Christ.  He retired from Motorwheel Corporation in Berea, Ky in 2000 and then worked 16 years at Rockcastle Hospital’s Fitness Center.  Bobby loved gardening  and spending time with his family.

On November 25, 1961 he married Lorene Jane Brown, and they were married 63 years.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife, Lorene Jane Lawrence, his children, Lisa Jane Hopkins (Doug) and Teddy Nevil Lawrence (Marcy) both of Brodhead, Ky, his grandchildren, Tiffany Rene McKibben (Joshua);  Christopher Kyle Lawrence (Sarah); Heather Jenee Hancock (Joshua); Gregory Nevil Lawrence and Angela Nicole Lawrence;  his  great grandchildren, Rayleigh Brooke Hancock, Trevor Lee Hancock, Hattie Jo McKibbon, Alivia Blake Hancock, Gertie Rey McKibben and Payton Sage Miracle.  He is also survived by one sister, Evalene Reynolds (Ronald) and one brother, Charles Lawrence (Lois) and sisters-in-law Doris Lawrence , Bonnie Lawrence and  Eula Lawrence , host of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Herbert Ray, Richard, Eugene and Jackie, and sister, Margie Blanton and Wanda Smith.

Visitation for Mr. Bobby Lawrence will be Tuesday, July 22, 2025 from 6-9PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.  Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday July 23, 2025 at 2PM at the Funeral Home with Bro. Joshua McKibben officiating.  Burial will follow in the Providence Church Cemetery.
