Bobby Lunsford

Bobby Lunsford, 86, of Somerset, Ky, departed this life on Sunday, March 8th, 2026, at U.K. Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, Ky.

Bob was born on May 11th, 1939, in Berea, Kentucky to the late Burnam and Laura Baker Lunsford. On August 20th, 1965, Bob married the love of his life Donna Wachsman Lunsford.

Bob was a faithful member of Bible Baptist Church as well as a Shriner, a Free Mason, a KY Colonel, and he was a delegate for multiple Presidential Campaigns, he Chaired for 26 years for the Republican party for Dehli Townships. Bob was a Politician, if you were a Republican running for office, Bob’s support was crucial. He was a “Braut and Met” guy, “Thank you for shopping at Flanagan’s” was a closing known by many, Bob was a “tried and true friend” to the end.

Bob is survived by his children; Pam (Don) Deller of IN, Thomas( Scott)  (Betty) Lunsford of OH, Robin Lunsford Berman of Ky, his grandchildren; Amanda Deller of IN, Brandon (Allison) Deller of KY, Samantha (Demi) McBride of IN, Isabella Meyer of KY, Jessica Lunsford of KY, Ashley Lunsford of KY, many loving great grandchildren, his brother: Jim Lunsford (Ruth) of Berea, as well as a host of nephews, nieces, friends and neighbors .

Besides his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife: Donna Wachsman Lunsford (2007), his child: Bobby Lunsford Jr., one grandchild: William Alexander Berman, his sisters; Frieda Bickford and Burnetta Moles.

Visitation for Bob will be Sunday, March 15th, from 1-3pm at Owens Chapel, Funeral service will begin at 3pm with Bro. Alan Dodson officiating. Private burial on Monday, March 16th.
