Bobby Ray McKinney

Mr. Bobby Ray McKinney, age 75, of Brodhead, Ky. husband of Patricia, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Rockcastle Hospital. -

He was born on Feb. 16, 1946 in Berea, Ky., a son of the late Luther and Helen Stephens McKinney. Bobby was a 42-year employee at Square D Company in Lexington, Ky.  He was a member of Freedom Baptist Church, a 50-year member of the Brodhead Lodge F&AM #566, and enjoyed John Deere Tractors, turkey hunting, and his farm.  On April 17, 1965 he was united in marriage to Patricia Mays, and from that union came a son, Bobby Chris McKinney.

Those left to celebrate his life are his wife of 55 years, Patricia Mays McKinney of Brodhead, Ky; his son, Bobby Chris McKinney (Fiancée-Janice Perkins) of Corbin, Ky. His grandchild: Tasha (Bradley) Hubbs. His great grandchildren: Tyler and Jonathan Hubbs.  His brothers: C.S. McKinney (Carolyn) of Mt. Vernon, Ky and L.A. McKinney (Beverly) of Mt. Vernon, Ky. His sister:  Lucy Jane Beaumont (Alan) of Lexington, Ky. His special nephew: Scott Mays (Becky) of Brodhead, KY., His niece: Jodi Carpenter (David) of Brodhead, Ky.  His great nephews: Chase and Chance Prewitt.  As well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Joe McKinney.

Visitation for Mr. Bobby McKinney will be Sunday, March 14, 2021 from 5-8PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.  Funeral services will be conducted Monday, March 15, 2021 at 2PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Bro. Barry Hurst officiating.  Burial will follow in Freedom Cemetery.
