Bonnie K (Baird) Mink

Mrs. Bonnie Kay Mink, age 76, of Mt Vernon, Ky. departed this life on June 12th, 2025, at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Ky, surrounded by her daughters and her best friends, Gail Thacker and Holly Joyner.

She was born on May 26th, 1949, in Campbell Co. TN. She was the daughter of Sherman and Bessie Hicks Baird. On May 27th, 1966, she married Owen Mink (August 2022) and from that union came three children: Rebecca, Sabrina, and Amanda. Bonnie was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed working puzzles and reading her bible. She worked in the Dietary Dept. at Rockcastle Hospital for 14 years.

Those left to celebrate her life are her children: Rebecca Machal (Anthony) of Mt Vernon, Sabrina Bishop (Chris) of Mt Vernon, Amanda Cole (Gary) of London. Grandchildren; Dustin Bishop (Maegan), Dakota Bishop (Amber Collins), Cora Miller (Kagen), Jordan Lepore (Wyatt), and Brynna Davis. Great grandchildren Hudson and Hadley Bishop, one brother: Estel Baird (Donna) of TN, one sister: Mary Muse (Eddie) of TN, one very special friend; Gail Thacker.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by husband: Owen Mink, her siblings; Everett Baird, Emmitt Baird, Bobby Hicks, Bill Hicks, Paul Baird, Junior Baird, Shirley Kersey, Wilma Manis, and Naomi Ivey.

Visitation service for Bonnie will be Monday, June 16th, 2025, from 5-7pm at Owens Chapel. Funeral service will begin at 7pm with Bro. Jason Ivey officiating.

Casket bearers will be Dustin and Dakota Bishop, Jordan Lepore, Brynna Davis, Wyatt Lepore, and Kagen Miller. Honorary casket bearers will be Cora Miller, Gail Thacker, Holly Joyner, and Darrell Richardson.

Arrangements are entrusted to Marvin E. Owens home for funerals.
