Brenda Gail (Russell) Barnett

Brenda Gail (Russell) Barnett, age 64, of Mt. Vernon, KY, passed away Monday, December 28, 2020 at Hospice Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, KY.

Brenda was born December 18, 1956 in Rockcastle County to the late John and Lola Mae (Overbay) Russell. She was of the Baptist faith, enjoyed traveling, making photo albums/scrap books, listening to country music radio, and making curtains, and tablecloths.

Those left to celebrate her life are her son:  Bobby Ray Barnett and wife Shana of Berea, KY; one granddaughter:  Cheyenne Barnett; four brothers:  Donnie Barnett and wife Lisa of Berea, KY; Ronnie Barnett and wife Nina of Livingston, KY; Ricky Barnett of Mt. Vernon, KY, Doug Russell and wife Crystal of Danville, KY; one sister:  Debbie Hunt and Jim Patterson of Mt. Vernon, KY; and one special friend:  Dennis Reams.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son:  Brian Edward Barnett and one brother:  Jeffrey Edward Barnett.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 30, 2020 from 12pm until time for the funeral service at 2pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Doug Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakhill Cemetery. Casket bearers are Bobby Barnett, Doug Collins, Mitchell Ingram, Boyd Grant, Jacob Ingram, and Jerry Petrey.
