Brenda Gayle (Hayes) Taylor

Brenda Gayle Taylor, age 69, of Brodhead, Ky. departed this life Monday, January 6th, 2025, at her residence in Brodhead.

She was born on May 8th, 1955, in Stanford, Ky., a daughter of the late Raymond and Hazel Turner Hayes. On December 22nd, 1974, she married Casper Coy Taylor and from that union came their daughter, Bethany. She was a member of Ottawa Baptist Church, and she loved her WMU ladies. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, nanny, and wonderful friend. Brenda enjoyed watching Kentucky Wildcats basketball and to crochet, but most of all she loved spending time with her granddaughters, family and friends.

Those left to celebrate her life are her husband: Casper Coy Taylor, her daughter: Bethany Gilbert (Justin) of Brodhead, her grandchildren; Addison Brook Gilbert , Alexis Paige Gilbert, her brother: Henry Hayes (Rita) of Brodhead, sisters in laws; Brenda Hayes, Kaye Payne, Tracy Nicely (Gary), Angie Sisson (David), brothers in law; Joe Taylor(Rita), Jesse Ray Taylor (Arlene), Lester Taylor (Pam), special friends; Jeleta Bradshaw, Carol “Harris” Taylor, and Teresa Parrett, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother: Jack Hayes.

Visitation for Brenda will be Thursday, January 9th, from 10am-1pm at Owens Chapel, funeral service at 1pm with Bro. John McPheron officiating. Burial will follow in Ottawa Cemetery.
