OBITUARY NOTICE:

Cagelina Inez Thompson McCoy, age 53, departed this life on Thursday, March 27th, 2025, at U.K. Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, KY. Cagie (as everyone called her) was born in Pulaski County to Paul and Ruth Mayfield Thompson who preceded her in death. On April 27th, 2019, she married Jackie McCoy.

Cagie enjoyed going to the Smokies, she loved snow and snowmen and she especially enjoyed going to the Little Worlds Fair in Brodhead, Cagie was a people person, and she loved (hearts), she could find the shape of a heart in anything. She loved spending time with friends and family and especially her children and grandchildren. Cagie will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Those left to celebrate her life are her husband: Jackie McCoy of Brodhead, Geoffrey Paul Keith Vanhook (Shyann) of Brodhead, Samantha Ilaine Vanhook of Brodhead, Nicholas Mason Cundiff of Brodhead. Her grandchildren; Mason Vanhook, Maddix Cundiff, Bryson and Myles Cundiff, Remington New, Charlee Shae Vanhook, and Lexi Morgan. Two Brothers; Randy (Lisa) Thompson, Cary Paul (Paula) Thompson, one sister, Sheila (Dennis) Chaney, two nephews; Ethan Phillips and Joshua Thompson, a niece Miranda Clevanger,  two great nephews; Austin Clevanger, Levi Thompson and one great niece: Remileigh (Remi) Thompson, Cagie is also survived by numerous Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her grandparents Marshall and Ruby Thompson, Willie and Bertha Mayfield

Visitation for Cagie will be Sunday, March 30th, 2025, at Owens Chapel from 5-8pm, Funeral services will be Monday, March 31st, 2025, at Owens Chapel starting at 1pm with Bro. Chad Burdette officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Church of Christ Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations can be made to Owens Chapel for services provided.
