Mr. Calvin Marler, age 73, formerly of Mt. Vernon, KY, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at his residence in Cincinnati, OH.
Calvin was born in Mt. Vernon, KY, on April 16, 1948, a son of the late Glen Andrew Marler and Opha Christine Kirby. In 1966, he and Darlene Louise Tiemeyer were united in holy matrimony, and of that marriage came two children, Rhonda & LaRhonda. Calvin was of the Christian faith. Some of his past times included: playing cards, riding his motorcycle, working on cars, fishing, and taking spur of the moment trips with Darlene, prior to her passing.
Those left to celebrate his life are his two daughters: Rhonda Lynn Coburn, and LaRhonda Kay Clifford, both of Cincinnati, OH; five grandchildren: Eric Lucas, Jessica Brewer & Matthew, Brittany Byrd, Jacob Byrd, and Owen Byrd; a great-grandchild: Maddie Lynn Marie Phillips; a sister: Margie Harris & James Fletcher of Mt. Vernon, KY; as well as a host of other family, many friends, and neighbors.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years Darlene Louise Tiemeyer Marler; and three brothers: Ronnie Lee Marler, Gary Dewayne Marler, and Tony W. Kirby.
Services for Mr. Calvin Marler will be held at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals, on Friday, December 3, 2021, beginning with the visitation at 12pm, followed by the funeral service at 2pm, with Eugene Gentry officiating. Burial will follow in the Kirby Cemetery, on Chestnut Ridge.
