Carl Benton Doan, age 67, husband of Anna Helen McFerron Doan of 46 yrs. of Brodhead, KY; passed from this life on Monday, May 14th, 2018 at the Baptist Health Hospital in Richmond, KY; the son of the late William Arlis Doan and Geneva Gentry Doan. He was born April 13th, 1951 in Burr Hill, KY.

Carl was a member of the Rose Hill Church. He had been a foreman for the Asplunda Tree Service for 12 years. He enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren, Music, playing guitars and singing.

Those left to celebrate his life are his wife: Anna Helen McFerron Doan of Brodhead, KY; his children: Carl Benton Doan, Jr. (Melissa) of Berea, KY; William Andrew Doan of Brodhead, KY; his grandchildren: Christa Renner (Jessie), Megan Johnson (Thomas), Cager Doan, Kaiden Doan, Tava Doan; his great - grandchildren: Jason Doan Johnson, Avery Renner, Addy Renner, Trevor Johnson; one brother: Darrell Doan (Patricia) of Mt. Vernon, KY; his sisters: Nadine Doan of Mt. Vernon, KY; Lillian Caldwell (Floyd) of Mt. Vernon, KY; Rosemary Danner of Berea, KY; Sue Robinson of Mt. Vernon, KY; Zannie Robinson (Bobby) of Mt. Vernon, KY; Connie McFerron (Dale) of Mt. Vernon, KY; and Jearl Bullock (Doug) of Mt. Vernon, KY; as well as many nieces and nephews, friends and neighbors.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by: a granddaughter: Missy Johnson; his brother: Denver (Tom) Doan; his sisters: Doris Settles, Wanda Anderkin and Delphy Price.

Visitation for Carl Benton Doan will be held on Thursday, May 17th, 2018 from 6-9 P.M. at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.

Funeral services for Carl Benton Doan will be Friday, May 18th, 2018 at 1 P.M. at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals Chapel with Bro. Eli Gabbard officiating.
