Carlis Cromer

Mr. James “ Carlis”  Cromer, age 82 of Brodhead, Ky. departed this life Sunday, May 14, 2023 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Hospital in Danville, Ky.

He was born on November 1, 1940 in Sand Springs , Ky., a son of the late Joseph Chester and Maggie Marie Renner Cromer.  He had been a self employed Truck Driver.  Carlis was of the Baptist faith, and found great joy in vintage cars, gardening and yard work. 

Those left to celebrate his life are his children: Randy Cromer (Vicki) of Brodhead, Ky., Tony Cromer of Louisville, Ky., and Tammy Bailey (Brian) of Crab Orchard, Ky.  His grandchildren: Terra Harris, Brittney Campbell (Brandon), and Brandy Harris.  His great grandchildren: Kierra Bingham, Braedon Campbell, Brody Campbell, Easton Coffey, Blain Campbell and Ezra Harris.  His brother: Gary Cromer of Quail, Ky., and the Mother of his children: Patty Cromer,  as well as a host of nieces/nephews, friends and neighbors.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters: Alene Fowler and Carolyn King; and Son-in-law Terry Lee Harris.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 16, 2023 from 11AM-2PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals, followed by funeral services at 2PM with Bro. Luther Allen officiating.  Burial will follow in the Fairview Church of Christ Cemetery, Willailla, Ky.
