Carol Jean Martin departed this life on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at her home in Willailla, Ky.
Carol was born on December 19th, 1943, in Brodhead, Kentucky to the late Cecil and Ethel Hurst Thompson. On June 27th, 1959, Carol married Albert “Brownie” Martin and from that union came six children: Tim, Jill, Micki, Gina, Richard, and Jon.
Carol was a faithful member of Fairview Church of Christ for 70 years and a member of the Quail Homemakers Club. She enjoyed Shopping, Gardening, Singing, going to Church, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
Carol is survived by her children; Jill Martin of Brodhead, Micki Jo Woodson (Ronnie) of Lexington, Gina Martin of Brodhead, Richard Martin (Merita) of Brodhead, Jon Martin (Monica) of Brodhead, her grandchildren; Josh Martin (Michelle) of Brodhead, Travis Martin of Richmond, Jasmine Martin of Richmond, James Allen (Sandra) of Brodhead, Matthew Woodson (Cecily) of Lexington, Zach Woodson (Nicole) of Richmond, VA, Davis Faulkner of Brodhead, Jillisa Noland (Daniel) of Hustonville, Drew Martin of Somerset, Kylie Martin of West Palm Beach, Fl, Allie Martin of Brodhead.
Besides her parents Carol was preceded in death by her husband; Albert “Brownie” Martin, her child; Timothy B. Martin, brothers; Willis Thompson, Don Thompson, and sister: Gerry Owens.
Visitation for Carol will be Saturday, April 25th, 2026, from 11am-1 pm at Fairview Church of Christ. Funeral service will follow at 1 pm with Bros. Curt Herrington and Johnathan Barnett officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
