Cecil Ray Burdette

Mr. Cecil Ray Burdette, age 78, of Crab Orchard, KY, passed away Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at St. Joseph Hospital London.

Cecil was born October 28, 1941 in Roundstone to the late Logan D. and Martha Ella (Cornett) Burdette.  He was a propane gas delivery driver, a deacon of New Hope Pentecostal Holiness Church, enjoyed family, church, Bluegrass Gospel music, loved people, and traveling.

Those left to celebrate his life are his wife:  Elizabeth Ann (Hawkins) Burdette; nine children:  Marsha Wolfinbarger of Mt. Vernon, KY, Timothy (Theresa) Burdette of Richmond, KY, Benjamin (Lisa) Burdette of Brodhead, KY, Kelvin Doyle Burdette of Mt. Vernon, KY, Donita (Adam) Blanton of Wildie, KY, Greta Burdette of Berea, KY, Hannah Begley of Berea, KY, Harold (Katie) Burdette of Nashville, TN, Debbie (Everette) Swinney of Crab Orchard, KY; grandchildren:  Joshua and  Zachary Reece, and Benecia Begley, Joseph and Marcus Burdette, Kaitlyn, Wade, and Brooklyn Carpenter, Adam Eli~sha Blanton, Spencer, Stormi, Sophie, Chloe, and Lydia Begley; great-grandchildren:  Tyler, Brooklyn, Lilly, and Rylee Reece,  Caiden Burdette, Kylie and Paisley Begley, Carson and Logan Burdette, Noah Ellington and Addie Carpenter, Andrew Wade, and Kinsley Carpenter; and one brother:  Elmer (Mary) Burdette of Brodhead, KY.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife:  Beulah Burdette, and six siblings:  Clayton, Rufus, J.B., Betty, and Elsie.

Visitation will be Friday, August 7, 2020 from 6-9pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.  Funeral services will be Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 1pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Bros. Harold Eads, Greg Cress, Rick Cress, and Luther Akers officiating.  Burial will follow in the Saylor Cemetery.  Casket bearers are:  Everett Swinney, Eli~sha Blanton, Marcus Burdette, Joseph Burdette, Zachary Reece, Joshua Reece, Stormi Begley, and Jimmy Wayne Gadd.
