Charles Douglas Deatherage

Charles “Doug” Deatherage, age 65, of Crab Orchard, KY, passed away on Saturday, October 11th, 2025, at Rockcastle Regional Hospital in Mt.Vernon, KY. He was born on March 1st, 1960, in Mt Vernon, KY. He was a son to the late Charles Coman and Juanita (Rader) Deatherage.

Doug was of the Baptist faith. He worked in maintenance at Rockcastle Court house, and he enjoyed Fishing and hunting, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife: Rita (Hawk) Deatherage, his children; Tiffany Deatherage of Science Hill, Ashley Bolling (Aaron) of Junction City, Dustin Marcum (Holly) of Somerset, his grandchildren; Cheyenne and Skyler Curry, Laycee Mounce, Kinley and Cullen Marcum, Rhett Bolling, his great grandchildren; Oliver Messenger, Blade, Blair, and Silas Britt.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters; Sheila Marlene and Connie Gayle Deatherage.

Visitation for Doug will be Tuesday, October 14th, 2025, from 11am- 1pm at Owens Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 1pm with Bro. Jamie Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Hansel Cemetery.
