Charlotte (Lawson) Doan

Charlotte Doan, Age 81 of Mt. Vernon, Ky. departed this life Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at the Rockcastle Hospital.

She was born on November 19, 1942, in Kings Mt. Pulaski Co. to Alonzo and Mae Lawson. She was united in marriage to Vernon Doan, on November 11, 1960, who preceded her in death Jan. 15, 2023. From that union came six children, Dennis, Dalmas, Vernon Jr., Tina, Debbie and Michael Dawayne.

She was a member of Calloway Holiness Church. Loved fishing, singing, crocheting, going to church and spending time with family.

Those left to mourn her passing include her children: Dennis (Donna) Doan of Mt. Vernon; Dalmas (Vickie) Doan of Livingston; Vernon Jr. (Denise) Doan of Livingston; Tina Doan of Livingston, and Debbie Doan and Larry of Mt. Vernon.

Her grandchildren: Amber, LeAnn, Deanna, Kayla, and Joseph Doan, Josh and Heavenly Sowder, Scotty and Adam Hellard, Martha McKinney and Kevin Mink.

Besides her parents, and husband Vernon, she was preceded in death by a son: Michael Dawayne Doan; her grandchildren: Jason Wheeler and Randy Alexander Denny and three brothers Danny, Jimmy and Kenneth Lawson.

Visitation will be at Calloway Holiness Church on Friday October 18, 2024, from 6pm to 9pm.The funeral will be Saturday October 19, 2024, starting at 1 PM with Bros. Philip Doan and Jason Medley officiating. Burial will follow in the Doan Family Cemetery.
