Cheryl (Goff) Roberts

Cheryl (Goff) Roberts, age 63 of Somerset, KY departed this life Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Jean Waddle Cancer Center at Lake Cumberland Hospital in Somerset, KY.  

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cheryl Ann Goff-Roberts, a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. Born and raised in the heart of the South, Sherry embodied the warmth and generosity that defines being a Kentuckian. 

Sherry was a woman who knew no strangers, her kind spirit and infectious laugh drawing people in like a comforting embrace. She possessed a heart of gold, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer a listening ear. It was said that she would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need, a testament to her unwavering compassion and selflessness.

Sherry was a life-long member of Walnut Grove Church of Christ. She believed in the next life and knew she would see all of us again someday. 

She is preceded in death by her parents Wiley and Belva Goff of Somerset. 

Sherry leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering faith. She leaves behind her husband of 44 years, Jeffrey Roberts of Somerset as well as her children, April (Dylan) Lyons of Science Hill, of Somerset and Adam (Mandi) Roberts of Perryville who both made her a grandmother just weeks ago. She will be watching over her grandchildren Elva Knightly Lyons, Remy Sloane Roberts and Lincoln Scott Allen. Her brother Bruce (Sharon) Goff of Somerset.

Beside her parents, grandparents, and all other ancestors who created the person she was. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She loved her nieces and great nieces and nephews and so many great friends. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Jean Waddle Cancer Center at Lake Cumberland Hospital in Somerset, KY.
