In Loving Memory of Christopher Scott Foster

April 20, 1980 – May 28, 2026

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.” – 2 Timothy 4:7

Christopher Scott Foster, age 46, passed from this life unexpectedly on Thursday, May 28, 2026. Though his passing has left an unimaginable void in the hearts of those who loved him, his family takes comfort in knowing that this separation is only temporary for those who share the hope found in Jesus Christ.

Christopher was born on April 20, 1980, and throughout his life he possessed a spirit unlike anyone else. To know Christopher was to laugh. He had a quick wit, a clever response for every situation, and a way of bringing humor into even the hardest days. His laughter was contagious, his stories unforgettable, and his presence impossible to ignore.

One of Christopher’s greatest joys was collecting rocks. To many, they were simply stones, but to him they were treasures. He found beauty and meaning in them and loved sharing that passion with others. Many people throughout the community still have rocks that Christopher personally gifted to them, small pieces of his heart that now serve as lasting reminders of his kindness and unique spirit. He saw value where others might not, and that reflected the way he viewed people as well.

Christopher was preceded in death by his loving parents, William Foster and Anna Belle Holsing, whom he loved deeply and whose memories he carried with him throughout his life.

He leaves behind his beloved children, Christa Foster, Austin Matthews, Scarlet Belle, Alyssa Barron, Braydon McGuire, Brandon McGuire and Jayden Miller; one grandchild, Olivia Ritchey; his devoted sister, Angela Samples, and brother-in-law, Stephen Samples; his brothers, Larry Ray Mink (Heather) and Michael Shane Foster (Angela); his half-siblings, Michelle Nichols and Michael Foster; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends, and loved ones who will forever cherish his memory.

A Special Tribute to His Sister, Angela:

There was one person Christopher spoke about more than anyone else, his sister, Angela.

Every chance he got, he bragged about her. He would tell people about her kindness, her strength, and how much she meant to him. Their relationship went far beyond that of brother and sister. Their bond was one built on unconditional love, sacrifice, loyalty, and devotion. In many ways, they shared a relationship that reflected both a sister’s love and a mother’s care.

Angela was there for Christopher through countless seasons of life. She carried burdens with him, worried over him, cared for him, and loved him fiercely. Christopher knew he was loved, and because of Angela, he never had to wonder whether someone was in his corner.

For Angela, home will never quite feel the same. The empty chair where Christopher waited, the familiar greeting when she walked through the door, and the cheeseburgers she would bring home for him are now treasured memories. Yet those ordinary moments became extraordinary because they were shared with someone she loved so deeply.

Angela, if Christopher could speak to you today, he would want you to know that he never doubted your love. Not for a single moment. He knew how much you sacrificed, how much you cared, and how much of your heart you gave to him. You made a difference in his life every day. You gave him comfort, stability, companionship, and love. The family knows, and Christopher knew, that your presence in his life helped him endure many difficult days.

Though your heart is broken, take comfort in knowing that your love for him was one of God’s greatest gifts to his life. Nothing, not even death, can erase the bond you shared.

A Special Acknowledgment to the Staff of Brodhead Pharmacy

Christopher formed a very special friendship with the staff at Brodhead Pharmacy. What began as nearly daily visits grew into meaningful relationships that brought him tremendous joy and companionship. The employees there became much more than familiar faces, they became cherished friends.

The staff welcomed Christopher with kindness, laughter, and genuine care. They often took him out to eat on Fridays, shared conversations with him, and made him feel valued and included. In the final weeks of his life, he spoke often about these friendships and how proud he was to have made them.

One of Christopher’s favorite things to say was, “I know you won’t believe me, but I have friends at the Brodhead Pharmacy. I love them and they love me!” Those words reflected how much these friendships meant to him. He carried that pride and gratitude in his heart until the very end.

The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to the staff of Brodhead Pharmacy for the friendship, compassion, and kindness they showed Christopher. Their generosity extended far beyond friendship, and their decision to provide for his funeral expenses is a gift that will never be forgotten. The love and support they gave Christopher brought comfort and happiness to his life, and his family will always be grateful for the special place they held in his heart.

A Message of Comfort

If Christopher could leave one final message for his family, perhaps it would be this:

“Don’t remember me only for the day I left. Remember the laughs we shared, the stories we told, and the love we gave one another. When you see a beautiful rock, think of me. When you hear a joke that makes you laugh, think of me. When you gather together as a family, know that my greatest wish is for you to keep loving each other. Don’t carry guilt. Don’t carry regret. Carry the memories. God has me now, and one day we will be together again. Until then, live, laugh, love one another, and keep the faith.”

The family finds peace in the promise of God’s Word:

“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions… I go to prepare a place for you.” — John 14:1-2

And in the assurance that:

“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” — Psalm 30:5

Though Christopher’s earthly journey ended far too soon, his story does not end here. Through faith in Christ, there is hope beyond the grave and the promise of a reunion where death, sorrow, and parting will be no more.

Funeral services will be held at Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals, 148 West Main Street, Brodhead, Kentucky 40409. Service will be held at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals Wednesday June 3rd with Visitation starting at 12 Pm till time of the funeral at 3 P.M.. Brother Philip Doan officiating.

Pallbearers will include his nephews, Matthew Samples, Dustin Samples, and Jeremy Samples, along with his brothers, Larry Ray Mink and Michael Shane Foster, with additional pallbearers to be announced.

The family asks for continued prayers during this difficult time as they grieve the sudden loss of a beloved father, brother, uncle, and friend.
