Clara (Caudill) Proctor

Mrs. Clara (Caudill) Proctor, age 86 of Brodhead, KY, widow of Bobby Proctor, passed away at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond, KY on Monday, January 25, 2021.

Clara was born October 21, 1934 in Crab Orchard, KY to the late Carter and Anna (Brown) Caudill.  She was a member of Bethel Church of Christ, the Brodhead Homemakers, and the Thursday Club.  She enjoyed sewing, flower gardens, crafting, genealogy, and being a mom, grandma, and great grandma. She married Bobby Proctor on December 20, 1951 and they enjoyed 67 loving years together before his passing in 2019.

Those left to celebrate her life are her children: Louise Benge and husband Johnny of Brodhead, KY, Derrell Proctor and wife Darlene of Covington, KY, Doug Proctor and wife Linda of Mt. Vernon, KY, Paula Brown and husband Wendell of Crab Orchard, KY, Elizabeth Dodd and husband Jeff of Walton, KY; grandchildren:  Rebecca Reed Hammons, Denise Watson, Billy Ray Graves, Josie Benge, Heather Bradley, Tanner Allen, Logan Dodd, Steve, Kyle, Adam, Mark, and Jason Proctor; twenty great-grandchildren; one brother Jesse D Caudill and wife Peggy of Cincinnati, OH; one brother-in-law:  Arlos Proctor and wife Martha of Brodhead, KY; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bobby; her granddaughter:  Suzanne Graves; and siblings:  Jo Ann Simpson, Shirley Shelley, Carter Lee Caudill, and Wanda Elder.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 27, 2021 from 5-8pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 1pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Robbie Cable officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethel Church of Christ Cemetery. Casket bearers are Billy Graves, Steve, Kyle, Adam, Mark, and Jason Proctor, and Logan Dodd.
