David Jeffery Sparks

OBITUARY

Mr. David Jeffery Sparks, age 53 of Eubank, Ky. departed this life on Thurs. July 24, 2025 at Lake Cumberland Medical Center in Somerset, Ky.

He was born on September 8, 1971 in Richmond, Ky., a son of Edna McCollum Durham.  He was a construction worker, who loved riding horses and bird dog hunting.  He had attended Sand Hill Baptist Church. 

Those left to celebrate to his life are his mother, Edna Durham of Eubank. Ky. ;   His daughter, Samantha Jolene Smith of Richmond, Ky;  His brothers, Doyle Wayne Sparks and Lori of Berea, Ky; and Dorian Sparks of Mt. Vernon, Ky.  and wife Maryann of Derby England.  As well as a host of friends,  neighbors, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his step father, Ted Durham and his grandparents, Bee and Lola McCollum and Elmer and Dahlia Sparks.

A celebration of life service for David  has been scheduled for Saturday, August 16, 2025 from 4-6PM at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Bro. Tommy Miller officiating.
