Mr. David Lewis Stewart, age 85, of Orlando, KY, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Rockcastle Regional Hospital in Mt. Vernon, KY.
David was born February 19, 1935 in Orlando, KY to the late Sam and Pairlee (Leger) Stewart. He married Hazel Fern Falin on August 27, 1955, and from that union came six children: Lewis, Vonnie, JoAnn, Elmer, Davy, and Sammy. He was a retired carpenter for CSX, a member of the Brush Creek Holiness Church, enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Those left to celebrate his life are his wife of 64 years: Hazel Fern Stewart; six children: Lewis (Susie) Abney of Tell City, IN, Vonnie Wilder of Orlando, KY, JoAnn (Kenny) Fredrick of Brodhead, KY, Elmer (Vonda) Stewart of Orlando, KY, Davy Stewart of Orlando, KY, Sammy Stewart of Orlando, KY; seventeen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and three brothers: Charles Stewart, Dewey Stewart, and Carl (Linda) Stewart, all of Mt. Vernon, KY.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by ten siblings, and two grandchildren: Elmer Stewart and William Mason.
Graveside services for Mr. David Lewis Stewart will be Friday, July 24, 2020 at 2:00 pm at the Clark/Stewart Cemetery with Joe Spivey officiating.
