"Dean" Jones

Mr. Ronald “Dean” Jones, age 88 of Brodhead, Ky. departed this life on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at home surrounded by his family.

He was born on May 13, 1935, in Brodhead, Ky., a son of the late Casper Marshall and Janie May Hamm Jones. Dean retired from Parker Seal after 31 years of service. He served his country in the US Army. He was a loving and devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather. Dean was a member of Ottawa Missionary Baptist Church and found great joy in fishing, sports and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  On Jan 28, 1956, he was united in marriage to Rosemary Chaney and from that union came three children: Janice Carol, Vicki Lynn and Michael Dean.  Dean and Rosemary enjoyed 57 years together prior to her passing on January 9, 2014.

Those left to celebrate his life are his children: Janice Carol Mullins (Doug Mullins-deceased) of Brodhead, Ky; and Michael Dean Jones (Elizabeth “Beth”) of Brodhead, Ky. His grandchildren: Jessica Lynn Clay; Chelsea Elizabeth Millsaps (A.J.); Sarah Catherine Oliver (Chase); Christopher Douglas Mullins; Lucas Michael Jones; and Lindsey Elizabeth Jones. His great grandchildren: Carson Daniel Clay, James Douglas Oliver and Norah Rose Oliver, Olivia Lynn Millsaps and Asa Cornelius Millsaps.   As well as a host of friends and neighbors.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary Jones; his daughter: Vicki Lynn Whiteley, his brother: Gene Edward Jones.
