Denis Wayne Graves

Mr. Denis Wayne Graves, age 66, of Mount Vernon, passed away, Sunday, October 27, 2019 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, KY.

Denis was born on May 31, 1953 in Rockcastle County to the late Charles and Mary Jenner Graves. He was retired from the United States Navy, was of the Christian faith, enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, watching baseball and wrestling. 

Those left to celebrate his life are his companion:  Charlotte McClure, his children:  Denis Eugene (Patricia) Graves of Denton, TX, Darlene (Frank) Moore of Somerset, KY, Kenneth (Kristin) Graves of Louisville, KY, and Mark (Amanda) Graves of Lexington, KY; twelve grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers:  Daryl Graves of Stanford, KY, Nelson Graves of Somerset, KY, and Ernie Graves of South Carolina; and the mother of his children:  Zella Graves of Somerset, KY.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother:  Robert Graves; and one infant sister. 

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 30, 2019 from 11:00 until time for the funeral service at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, in Nicholasville, KY.  Casket bearers will be:  Denis Graves, Kenneth Graves, Mark Graves, Tyler Graves, Dominic Graves, and Frank Moore.
