Dooley Ann (Kerby) Cromer

Dooley Ann (Kerby) Cromer, age 75 of Mt. Vernon, KY passed away Saturday, December 20, 2025 at her residence.

Dooley was born January 7, 1950 in McKee, KY to the late Johnney and Lessie (Spivey) Kerby. She was of the Holiness faith, enjoyed growing flowers, working in her garden, and spending time with family and friends.

Those left to celebrate her life are her children: Lois Abrams of Mt. Vernon, KY and Lisa Abney (Chris) of Mt. Vernon, KY; three grandchildren: James Rose (Trish) of Mt. Vernon, KY, Cayla Marcum of Mt. Vernon, KY, Shara Mays of Berea, KY; and five sisters: Eulah Rawlins of Indiana, Beulah Hailman of Texas, Linda Karp of Hogdville, Alburtie Derringer of Texas, and Lena Brock of McKee, KY.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Cromer, her daughter: Darlene Durham; and three brothers: Donald, Denny, and Hershel Kerby.

Services for Dooley Cromer will be held Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals. Visitation will be from 11am until time for the funeral at 2pm with Bro. Jack Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in Kerby Cemetery.
