Doug Benge

Mr. Larry Douglas Benge, age 52, of Brodhead, KY, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at St. Joseph East in Lexington, KY.

Doug was born August 17, 1967 in Cincinnati, OH to Larry James Benge and the late Linda (Hubbard) Benge.  He was a laborer and a member of the Brodhead Baptist Church.  He enjoyed motorcycles, go-carts, and racing.

Those left to celebrate his life are his children:  John Tyler (Autumn) Mofield of Burnside, KY, Daniel (Amber) Legg of Berea, KY, Koty Benge of Berea, KY, and Tommy Benge of Brodhead, KY; two grandchildren:  Idgie Benge, Riley Price; one brother:  Paul (Sandy) Gardner of Cincinnati, OH; two sisters:  Bridget Benge of Moreland, KY, and Jamie Dale Benge of Georgetown, KY; his father:  Larry James (Ann) Benge; and his first wife:  Jennifer Whittemore. 

Doug was preceded in death by his mother:  Linda (Hubbard) Benge; his paternal grandparents:  James I. (Avis) Benge, and Harvey (Florence) Puckett.

Visitation for Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 11am-1pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 1pm at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals with Bro. Luther Allen officiating.  Burial will be in the Ottawa Cemetery.
