Elizabeth Stewart

Elizabeth Stewart, age 69, departed this life on Friday, July 17th, 2026, at U. K. Medical Center in Lexington, Ky.

Elizabeth was born on April 19th, 1957, in Berea, Ky, a daughter to the late Homer and Dorothy Stevens Jones. On December 26th, 1977, she married Darrell Stewart and from that union came three children; Judy, Erica, and Megan.

 Elizabeth was a member of Grace Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to concerts, Cooking, listening to Music, decorating for different seasons, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren.

Those left to celebrate her life are her husband: Darrell Stewart, her children; Judy Pigg (Andy) of Brodhead, Erica Stewart (Richard) of Mt. Vernon, Megan McCracken (Justin) of Berea, her grandchildren; Hunter, Savannah, Candice, and Blake,

Besides her parents Elizabeth was preceded in death by her brother: Homer “Dooney” Jones Jr.

Visitation for Elizabeth will be Thursday, July 23rd, 2026, from 6-9pm at Owens Chapel. Funeral service will be held Friday, July 24th, 2026, at 12pm at Grace Baptist Church with Bro. Ronnie Lee McClure officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
