Ellen Faye (Lambert) Rigsby

Mrs. Ellen Faye (Lambert) Rigsby, age 83, of Brodhead, passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her loved ones.

Faye was born on February 26, 1939, in Dayton, OH, a daughter of the late Samuel and Elsie (Moore) Lambert. She was united in Holy matrimony to Glen Rigsby, on October 25, 1958, and of that marriage came one daughter, Anna Lee. They enjoyed many years together prior to his passing in September 2012. She served over 15 years as a bus driver for Rockcastle County Schools. She was of the Pentecostal faith, and in her free time enjoyed shopping, and spending time with her family.

Those left to celebrate her life are her daughter: Anna Lee Rigsby, of Brodhead, KY; two grandchildren: Kristina Jo Rigsby and Noah Glen Huddleston; three great-grandchildren: Kaleb Mark Andrew Rigsby, Kooper Timothy Lewis VanWinkle, Korbin Christopher Glen Davidsion; three cousins: Kaye Rigsby, Myrna Childress, and Sharon McKinney & Mark; friend: Juanita Norris; and caretaker and friend: Ashley VanWinkle and Family; as well as a host of many other friends and neighbors.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Mr. Glen Rigsby.

Visitation for Faye will be held at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, from 6 to 9pm. A funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, December 15, 2022, at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals at 1pm, with Buford Parkerson officiating. Burial will follow in the Brodhead Christian Church Cemetery. Honorary casket bearers will be Donnie Roberts, Scott VanWinkle, Michael Brown, and Steven Brown.
