Ernest Lee Smith

Mr. Ernest Lee Smith, age 62, departed this life on Saturday, April 19th, 2025, at Rockcastle Regional Hospital in Mt Vernon, KY. Ernest was born in Mt Vernon, KY, to the late Charley and Fannie Marie Gibbons Smith.

 Ernest enjoyed hunting, fishing, and ginseng hunting. He was a mountain man who truly loved nature. Ernest will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Those left to celebrate his life are her children: his children; Gail Elizabeth Adams of Crab Orchard, Bruce Lee Smith of Livingston, His grandchildren; Jaylen Cash, Matthew River, and John Luke Adams. one Brother; Tony Smith (Tambra) of Livingston, two sisters; Beverly Cash (Darrell) of Eubank, Georgie Shumate (Del) of Livingston. One special friend: John Earl Shackleford.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Brittany Nichole Cash.

Cremation was chosen and a celebration of life service is scheduled for May 17th, 2025, at 2pm at Red Hill Union Baptist Church. Arrangements were entrusted to Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals.
