Ernie Cromer, age 70, departed this life peacefully on Wednesday, April 1st, 2026, at his home in Brodhead, Ky.
Ernie was born the son of the late Shirley and Mona (Doan) Cromer on August 20th, 1955. Ernie was a Christian, Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Uncle. He loved music, being outdoors, fast cars, and his family. He retired from Pepsi Cola in 2013.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years Janice (Barron) Cromer. She stood by him through his sickness and kept him at home where he wanted to be. His children; Jeff Cromer (Amber), Amy Cromer, and Calvin Cromer, his grandchildren; Spencer, Liam, Easton, Jake, and Owen Cromer, one great grandchild: Casen Cromer, special great nieces; Jaylee and Jasmine Barron, and an abundance of nieces, nephews, friends and family that will miss him dearly.
Besides his parents he is preceded in death by his two sisters: Jean Boone and Helen Rice.
Visitation for Ernie will be Monday, April 6th, 2026, from 11am-1pm at Owens Chapel. Funeral service will follow at 1pm with Bros. Mike Mcferron and Marcus Reppert officiating. Burial will follow in High Dry Cemetery.
Casket bearers are Calvin Cromer, Michael Hiatt, Wayne Barron, Spencer McDonald, Logan Lovell, and Bobby Barron.
