Gary Wayne Scott

Mr. Gary Wayne Scott, age 68 of Mount Vernon Kentucky passed away Friday, June 3, 2022, at Rockcastle Regional Hospital.

Gary was born on November 28, 1953, in Rockcastle County, a son of the late Garvin and Eva Christine (Barnett) Scott. He was of the Christian faith and attended Brindle Ridge Baptist Church. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, metal detecting, and watching old war movies.

Those left to celebrate his life are his children: Kevin Scott & Shanda of Richmond, Kentucky, Christy McKinley & Jonathan of Mount Vernon, Kentucky, and Michael Scott & Brooke Shackleford of Mount Vernon, Kentucky; a granddaughter: Madelynn Mae Scott; a brother: Robert Estill Scott & Kathy of Lexington Kentucky; as well as a host of many loved ones, friends, and neighbors.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Charlene Faulkner Scott.

Visitation for Gary will be held at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, from 5 to 8 PM. Funeral will be held at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at 1 PM with Bro. Ron Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Cresthaven Cemetery.
