Gearldine (Bryant) Richards

Gearldine Richards, 73 of Mt. Vernon, Ky. went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Rockcastle Regional Hospital.  She was born December 10, 1946 in Breathitt County to the late Fred and Eva Bryant. 

She was married 46 years to the late Kelly Richards of Mt. Vernon, Ky. and had 5 children, Dola (Vince) Gustin, Lavon (Jeff) Jett, Robert (Melinda) Monk, Greg Richards, and Amy (Jeff) Navarre.  She was employed at Hardees of Mt. Vernon where she enjoyed her job and the friends she made.  She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed listening to gospel music and watching WJLC. 

Those left to celebrate her life are her children and her sisters and brothers: Marie (Roy) Jackson of Winchester; Freddy (George) Hayes of Wolf County, Edith (Dick) Wilkerson of Ohio, Lonnie (Joan) Bryant, Orville (Pearl) Bryant, Estil Bryant and Eddie Bryant all of Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She loved spending time with her grandchildren-Josh (Tiffany) Cromer, Blake (Lisa) Powell, Tina Chesteen, Madison, Tyler and MaKensey Navarre, Matt Gustin and Kaleigh Richards. Great grandchildren-Peyton, Charli, Calli, Lincoln and Blakeley.  She was preceded in death by her husband Kelly Richards, her father and mother Fred and Eva Bryant, her sisters, Sadie Mae Thorpe and Christine Bolin and one brother, Charles Bryant. 

Service for Gearldine Richards will be Monday, Nov. 23, 2020 at 12Noon at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals , burial will follow in Johnetta Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, November 23, 2020 from 11AM-12Noon.
