George Shackleford

George Shackleford, age 68 of Livingston, Ky. departed this life Sunday, Feb. 9, 2025 at his residence in the Red Hill Community.

He was born on Feb. 12, 1956 in Berea, Ky., a son of the late Earl Bronson Shackleford and Jessie Brewer Shackleford. He had been a school custodian and maintenance worker.  George was a member of Central Baptist Church and found great joy in riding four wheelers, selling knives and guns, mowing his yard and spending time with his family.  On Sept. 6, 1975 he was united in marriage to Juanita Scott Shackleford and they enjoyed 49 years together prior to her passing September 10. 2024.

Those left to celebrate his life are his children: Robert Wayne, Michael Kevin, William Charles, Kim Margaret, Stevie Joe and Serena.  His brother: John Earl Shackleford of Richmond, Ky;  His sisters: Addie Pingleton (Donnie) of Paint Lick, Ky; and Linda Howard (Mike) of Mt. Vernon, Ky.  As well as a host of nieces/nephews, friends and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Juanita Scott Shackleford.

Cremation was chosen for George, a memorial service will be conducted March 24, 2025 at 11:30AM at RedHill Cemetery with Pastor Michael Howard officiating..
