Gerald Clayton Holcomb

Gerald Clayton Holcomb, age 65 of Crab Orchard, Ky departed this life on Sunday, July 13, 2025 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center .

He was born on December 17, 1959 in Lancaster, Ky., a son of the late Clayton Holcomb and Rosella Elam Holcomb. He had been a farmer and worked for Brake Parts, Inc. in Stanford.  He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Crab Orchard, Ky.   He found great joy in fishing, hunting and collecting old coins.

Those left to celebrate his life are his mother, Rosella Holcomb of Crab Orchard; his  children:  Ponjetta Fletcher (Terry)  of Stanford, Ky.  and Amanda Hayes  of Crab Orchard, Ky.  His grandchildren: Grace Ross, Madison Fletcher, Clayton Hayes, Natalie Hayes, Jaxon Hayes, Kaylee Hayes and Oakley Hayes.  His sister, China (Dennis) Brummett of Brodhead, Ky; and his brother, Freddie (Phyllis) Holcomb of Crab Orchard, Ky.  As well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clayton Holcomb and son-in-law, Ronnie Hayes.

Visitation for Mr. Gerald Holcomb will be Saturday, July 19, 2025 at the Marvin E. Owens Home for funerals, from 11AM-1PM with funeral services following at 1PM with Bro. Barry Delaney officiating.  Burial will follow in Piney Grove Cemetery.
