Gerald Dean McGuire

Mr. Gerald Dean McGuire, age 67, of Mt. Vernon, KY, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at his home.

Gerald was born on November 22, 1954, in Berea, KY, a son of the late Arvel Lee & Norma Jean (Brock) McGuire. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and shooting.

Those left to celebrate his life are his five children: Donovan McGuire & Christina of Mt. Vernon, KY, Celeste Edwards of Mt. Vernon, KY, Chandra McGuire & Travis of London, KY, Cassie Denney & Jason of London, KY, and Dustin McGuire of London, KY; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild; as well as a host of many friends and family.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Roger McGuire.

Services for Gerald will be held at the Marvin E. Owens Home for Funerals on Saturday, June 11, 2022, beginning with the visitation at 12pm, until the time of the funeral service at 2pm, with Jim Miller officiating. Burial will follow in the Merritt Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Dustin, Jordan, & Donovan McGuire, Jason Denney, Jason Puckett, and Robbie Rogers; honorary casket bearers will be Stanton Hayes, Gerald Owens, Donnie Abney, Georgie Murphy, Lyndon Smith, Randy Reynolds, and Kelly Mullins.
