Glen Odes Burke

Mr. Glen Odes Burke, age 92 departed this life on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at The Terrace Nursing Facility in Berea, KY.

Glen was born on January 11, 1931, in Brodhead, KY, a son of the late Pete Burke and Elizabeth Brummett Burke. He was a member of Mt Vernon Church of God.  On December 23, 1957, Glen married Opal Burke and they enjoyed 61 years together till her passing in 2018. From that marriage came one daughter; Sharon Burchett, she passed away in 2021.

Those left to celebrate his life are his two grandchildren; Yancee Paul Burchett and Liz of Wichita, Kansas and Shawnee Christian Burchett and Heather of Bandy, KY. Two Sisters; Jewell Maxine Murphy and Shirley Ann Burke-Smith of Crab Orchard.  As well as a host of friends and neighbors.

Besides his parents, wife, and daughter he was preceded in death by 6 brothers, Bud, Ed, Paris, Jay, Pete Jr and Bobby. Three sisters Rosa Lee Nickell, Ella May Lanham, and Dorothy Bartley.
