Glenn Edward DeBorde, age 68, of Mt. Vernon, son of the late Ed and Ruth Woodall DeBorde departed this life on Thursday, September 4th, 2025, at Baptist health Regional Hospital in Richmond, Ky.
Glenn was born September 27th, 1956, in Indianapolis, IN. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Phyllis .Bush DeBorde .
Glenn was a very humble, kindhearted, loving, caring person. He met and cared for many people in his years of service as an office equipment tech. Glenn was a devoted Christian and a member of Walnut Grove Church of Christ, he was always trying to help his church any way he could. He loved working on his farm and visiting with friends. He was loved by many and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Those left to celebrate his life are his daughter; Tara Harbour (Brian) of California, his stepson, Phil Thornton, three grandchildren; two step grandchildren, sisters; Diana Kortzendorf of Greenwood, IN, Melinda and John Kitts of Kokomo, IN. brother: Otis Junior Belcher, one stepdaughter: Shannon Westerman of New Mexico, and daughter Hailey, sister in law; Carlene and husband, Greg Eben, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Timothy DeBorde and sister, Margaret DeBorde Alcorn.
Visitation for Glenn will be on Monday, September 8th, 2025, from 12-2pm at Owens Chapel. Funeral service will begin at 2:00pm with Bro. Marvin Cromer officiating, Burial will follow in the Friendship Cemetery.. Everyone is invited to a fellowship meal at Woodstock Community Center following the burial service.
