Hazel Patricia Cable

Hazel Patricia Cable, age 85 of Mt Vernon, passed away Friday, June 7th, 2024.

She was born on May 31st, 1939, in Brodhead, Ky.  A daughter of the late Walter Earl and Daisy (Turner) Chaney. On August 17th, 1957, she married Harold Cable, and they enjoyed 45 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2002. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Ottawa Baptist Church. She enjoyed Sewing, Canning, Gardening, going to flea markets and collecting glassware. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Those left to mourn her passing are her children: Deborah (Jeff) Laswell, Linda (Mark) Loudermilk, both of Brodhead.  Grandchildren: Tricia Beth Nelson (Andrew), Andrew Seth Laswell (Hannah), Benjamin (Jonmark) Loudermilk, Kinzie (Karalinn) Loudermilk. Great grandchildren; Clay Seth Nelson, Sawyer Lynn Nelson, Tilly Drew Laswell, Margo Wayne Laswell, One sister: Betty Jean Blanton. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and neighbors.

Besides her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her sister: Rosemary Chaney Jones.

Visitation for Patsy will be Sunday, May 9th, at Marvin Owens Chapel from 6-9PM and Monday, June 10th, at Ottawa Baptist Church from 1-3PM with funeral services following at 3PM with Bro. John McPheron officiating. Pallbearers; Jeff Laswell, Andrew Laswell, Mark Loudermilk, Andrew Nelson, Jonmark Loudermilk and Matthew Hayes.
